Role: Program Manager
Location: South Brisbane
Salary: Up to $130,000 per year + Super + Salary Sacrificing + Fully Maintained Vehicle

CMR is representing a client seeking a Program Manager for a specialist service delivering systemic, child-centred, trauma- and attachment-informed therapeutic interventions for children and young people (up to 17 years) and their protective caregivers. The program supports individuals impacted by abuse, neglect, and domestic and family violence through integrated, evidence-based and evidence-informed approaches.


The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Psychologist, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker or Counselor who is looking to transition away from a full clinical caseload and into a broader operational leadership role. The position combines people leadership, risk management, stakeholder engagement, government reporting and program oversight, while working closely alongside a dedicated Clinical Lead who provides clinical supervision to staff.


Key Responsibilities

Operational & People Leadership

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple funded programs.
  • Ensure staffing levels align with service demand and contractual outputs.
  • Monitor program performance and service delivery outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for service growth and business development.
  • Support staff performance and professional development.
  • Assist with workforce planning and recruitment activities.

Risk Management & Escalation

  • Provide oversight and support for complex and high-risk client matters.
  • Assist staff with mandatory reporting decisions and risk escalation processes.
  • Liaise with legal counsel and external agencies where required.
  • Support teams managing child protection, safety and crisis situations.

Government Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for government stakeholders.
  • Monitor contractual KPIs and program outputs.
  • Analyse service delivery data and maintain reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative and organisational standards.

About You

To be successful, you will possess:

  • Post graduate tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Accredited Mental Health Social Work and/or Counselling
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA, AASW, PACFA, or ACA.
  • Significant experience in child and family therapy, particularly relating to child protection, domestic and family violence, and/or child and adolescent mental health.
